ORSON / HOME LAB CONTROL PLANE

What needs
my attention?

Service health and project context, in one dashboard.

The Home Lab Control Plane gathers monitoring and project information into one interface. I use it to check services and return to a project with its context in view.

ORSON is its companion panel. Its manual pilot is installed, with a first check-in recorded on 30 September. The newer web-panel integration is a separate upgrade: its verification and no-write dry run have passed, but it is not installed yet.

Meet ORSON.

INSIDE THE BUILD

Project context, in one place.

The control plane shows service information and project views. ORSON is the part I’m developing to turn that context into suggestions I can review.

THE HARDWARE BEHIND THE DASHBOARD

A home lab on a small shelf.

Two repurposed office computers make up the lab: one for the services I use, and another for experiments. The control plane brings their service health and project context into view.

PERSONAL PROJECT / IN USE & EVOLVING

A working home base.

In use

The dashboard is in use. On 30 September, the pilot passed its installation review, its installed files were verified, and its first manual check-in was recorded.

Upgrade checked, not installed

On 3 October, the exact web-panel release passed 145 tests in an isolated verification run, with no skips. On 4 October, a dry run against the target system succeeded without writes and matched the running Research console.

The upgrade has not been deployed. Its guarded installation, live service-permission checks, and signed-in laptop/phone checks remain open. The wider research and coding connections are still developing.

The progress above comes from saved review and installation records. This website update is not a fresh inspection of the running lab; the panel image remains an earlier development snapshot.
